God(s) is an exploration of underlying mythological themes with the Columbine High School shooting that took place on April 20th, 1999. The vast majority of text has been taken from a collection of documents released by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office of Colorado. This collection includes papers, journals, drawings, and notes written by Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the Columbine High School shooters. The mythological material comes from the story of Baucis and Philemon in Ovid's Metamorphosis. One question that has inspired the work put into this piece is that of how we are able to imagine the evil aspects of humanity. What images/metaphors serve to illuminate our darker capacities as human beings?
